About Alga Rivera

Alga Rivera has served as Protocol & Etiquette Consultant, conducting trainings for senior executives and management of organizations in higher education, banking, healthcare, entertainment, automotive, retail of consumer goods, mass communication, broadcasting and governments.

Alga Rivera is known for her popular seminar series “Outclass the Competition, Protocol and Etiquette in the International Arena” of the Protocol School of Washington. She holds exclusive rights to conduct seminars for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. She has been consultant under an initiative sponsored by the Organization of the Eastern Caribbean States, Strengthening Project for the Government and Public Officials of: St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Anguilla, Antigua, Dominica, Montserrat and the British Virgin Islands. She also has two Programs of her own our authority: The 7 Shining W's Public Speaking Training Course, and Health & Sensibility Bedside Manners.

Professor Rivera has previously worked as an Adjunct Professor of the Faculty of Business Administration in the Department of Business Communication at the University of Puerto Rico. While there, she was hired to create the course of Protocol & Etiquette in the Business Arena; a course she also taught in Spanish for the Spanish Department, and in English for the English Department. The Dean also appointed her to become part of the Communication Committee of the External Board of the UPR RP Business School integrated by Academics and graduates in the Industrial Arena while pursuing the prestigious AACSB accreditation.

She is a frequent contributor to the radio show "Buenos días familia“, Radio Oro, Puerto Rico, by providing updated information, analysis and advice that promotes and fosters a better quality of life - civility. Additionally, she is the go-to top protocol expert in various television programs to comment on the form and content of special events currently taking place all over the world.

Professor Rivera holds a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature from the University of Puerto Rico. With a degree in Protocol & Etiquette of the Protocol and Etiquette School of Washington, Professor Rivera can teach these courses in Spanish and English. She also holds a Master degree in International Protocol and Etiquette of the Instituto Europeo Atlántico of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. She is trained and certified by The Institute of Human Achievement Potential, Philadelphia, USA and is certified by The Disney Institute in Human Resource and People Management. She has also studies in Global Diplomacy at the International School of the University of London.

About Espada PR Founder

Jasmin Espada started her career in entertainment as a radio co-host at the age of 19. During Espada’s college years at UMASS Boston, she served as Assistant to the Student Trustee and helped coordinate rock concerts and special events on campus.

In 1991 Espada relocated to Los Angeles where she worked in the nonprofit sector. This led to her initiation in film publicity on the film “Bound by Honor” with publicist Katherine Moore. In 1994 Espada joined Mission: Renaissance, the world largest fine art school. Espada helped secure press on local and national levels helping make the brand the leader in its field. She was awarded Mission: Renaissance’s Ten Year Award as well as the Larry Gluck Artistic Freedom Award in 2008.

Espada’s impressive list of clients include some of the top names in entertainment starring in award-winning shows such as Jane The Virgin, Switched at Birth and Criminal Minds.

With a career spanning over two decades, Espada was responsible for bringing the first independent camera crew inside a California Prison and was the first publicist from her country to become a member of the TV Academy.
Often called “The Joe Montana of Public Relations” Espada has been endorsed by both the Associated Press and Traditional Home Magazine as “One of the most persistent publicists in Hollywood.” Jasmin Espada is a member of the Entertainment Publicists Professional Society the Television Academy and is an alumni of the University of Massachusetts and The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
