In the movie “Logan” Hugh Jackman plays a character who cares for an ailing professor at a hideout on the Mexican border, but trouble comes when a young mutant arrives. Cinema Buzz’s Shawn Edwards chats with director James Mangold about the latest X-Men movie: “Logan” and why he wanted to make it as realistic as possible.

James Mangold has directed “Girl, Interrupted” (1999), “Walk the Line” (2005), which he also co-wrote, the 2007 remake “3:10 to Yuma” (2007), “The Wolverine” (2013), and “Logan” (2017). He says that the theatrical release of “Logan” is the director’s cut. He is also working on a black-and-white version of the movie.
