What is a black film? It’s a film about the black experience. It’s also a movie that is written, directed or produced by someone black. Or a film that stars blacks in the lead roles. The following is the list of the best black films ever made. Originally compiled in 2007 it has been updated to coincide with the 10th anniversary of when the list was originally published to coincide with the  2007 documentary “The 100 Best Black Movies (Ever).”
