Superfly:

Superfly is a 2018 American action crime film directed by Director X and written by Alex Tse. A remake of the 1972 blaxploitation film Super Fly, it stars Trevor Jackson, Jason Mitchell, Michael Kenneth Williams, Lex Scott Davis, and Jennifer Morrison, and follows a career criminal who tries to get out of the Atlanta drug scene, only to have one bad deal put him in harm’s way. Rapper Future produces alongside Joel Silver, as well as wrote the film’s original songs. Superfly was released in the United States on June 13, 2018 and received mixed reviews from critics.

Trevor Jackson:

Trevor Howard Lawrence Jackson (born August 30, 1996) is an American singer, actor, songwriter, and dancer. He is best known for portraying Kevin Blake on Syfy original series Eureka, and for portraying Kris McDuffy on Disney Channel’s television movie Let It Shine. as well as Kevin LaCroix on American Crime. Other notable appearances include Broadway musical The Lion King, where he played the Young Simba, and television guest star roles on both Cold Case and Harry’s Law. In 2012, he won the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series.

Jason Mitchell:

Mitchell had roles in the films Contraband and Broken City, both of which starred Mark Wahlberg. In 2015, Mitchell played Compton rapper Eazy-E in the biopic Straight Outta Compton, with his performance being met with significant praise by critics. In 2016, he appeared in Keanu, which starred Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, and in 2017 starred as a Vietnam War officer in the monster movie, Kong: Skull Island. For his work as a World War II veteran in Mudbound, Mitchell received critical acclaim.
